And so today, we ask that You, the God of all creation, fill us with hope and give us a tangible reminder today that hope is an “unbreakable spiritual lifeline” (Hebrews 6:7 MSG).
Help us, dear Lord, to see hope in the clouds of chaos; to hear hope above the noise of this world and to feel hope in the warm embrace of your love. We can then rejoice with the words pinned by Edward Mote:
“My hope is built, on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteous
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but holy lean on Jesus name.
When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand”.
Amen.
