You Meet us Where We Are!
Father, you meet us right where we are!
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19, NIV
We are in the midst of a pandemic, pain, pandemonium, and pressure from sheltering in place…but You, O God are our refuge and we know that You are at work. Lord, some of us are in dry, desert places and we are thirsty for Your presence. Yet in the midst of discouragement, our hope is in You, O God, the fountain of living waters!
Thank you for protecting us, providing for us, and perfecting us. Your awesome power is displayed in our lives each and every day! Thank you for the power of memory, allowing us to look back and know that the God who sustained us & brought us victoriously through every previous crisis, is the same God who is present and attentive to us in this moment.
As our spirits are refreshed and renewed by Your Word and by prayer, we give you praise! Lord, we wait expectantly for the new thing that You are about to bring forth, and we embrace all that you have in store for us!
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 42:1-2, NIV
Heavenly Father, many of us are physically removed from our houses of worship and the religious life that we knew several months ago. Lord, some of us are in dry, desert places and we are thirsty for Your presence. Yet in the midst of our discouragement, our hope is in You, O God, the fountain of living waters! We know that you are present in all places, in all situations and all circumstances; and we joyfully welcome and worship You in our homes and virtual spaces. We know that You are waiting to encourage and strengthen our hearts and that You meet us right where we are!
