about the meeting
To ensure the safety of our staff and attendees, the 2020 BGAV Annual Meeting will be held online this year! Because of the nature of this year’s meeting and the fact that we cannot physically be together for voting and discussion, no formal business will be conducted. Therefore, churches do not need to elect messengers for this year’s meeting. All attendees will still be required to register in order to access video links for all meeting presentations and breakout sessions.
Our theme focus for this year is “Deep Roots, Green Shoots” based on Isaiah 43:19:
“See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.”
A special worship celebration will be held Monday night, November 9, at 7:00 p.m. featuring:
- – guest speaker N.T. Wright
- – a musical presentation by singer/storyteller Kate Campbell
- – an exploration of BGAV’s “Deep Roots, Green Shoots” with Executive Director John Upton
- – Memorial Service
Throughout the next day – Tuesday, November 10 – a variety of breakout sessions and discussion opportunities will be offered on a variety of relevant topics. Please check back soon for more details on breakout sessions.
